Assistant Governors

Roger Edwin Reichmuth, Assistant Governor Area 1

Roger joined the Rotary Club of Murray in the early 80's, but dropped out for a period of time due to a teaching assignment. He rejoined the club in 1991 . He has served as club song leader and director of each of the service areas. He was Club Rotarian of the Year in 1996 and president during the 2009-10 year . He has served as song leader for three district conferences and three PETS conferences . He served as a facilitator for the 2012 PETS conference. In November 2012, he was team leader for the GSE team that exchanged with the team from New Zealand. He served as a facilitator for the 2012 PETS Conference and is a 2013 graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute.

A graduate of Murray State University, he also holds master's and doctoral degrees in music education from the University of Illinois . He taught instrumental music in the Paducah Public Schools from 1961-70 and was director of the Paducah Tilghman High School Band. He assumed a faculty position at Murray State University in 1970 and remained there until his retirement in 2002. During his tenure at Murray State he served in roles as saxophone instructor, marching band director, music education faculty member, chair of the department of music, assistant dean and interim dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication, and during the last six years, as director of Development. He served terms as president of the Kentucky Music Educators Association, the Kentucky Association of College Music Departments, the Kentucky Arts Administrators, Murray Civic Music Association, and the Murray Main Street program. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and sings in the church and community choirs . For the past twenty-three years, he has been the leader, saxophonist and vocalist with a jazz combo named “Grumpy Old Men”.

A native of Louisville, he has one son, Edwin, and one stepson, Matthew Harris.

Tom is a native of Warren County Kentucky coming to Logan County after being in Virginia for forty years. He most recently served as the Director of the Virginia Institute for Economic Development and Industrial Developments Authorities at Virginia Tech. He has also held various executive positions in the manufacturing, lumber and construction industries.br brTom's education and professional accomplishments include Certified Economic Developer; graduate of the Virginia Institute for Economic Development at Virginia Tech; the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma; graduate of the Economic Development Course at the University of North Carolina; MBA, Duke University; and a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University.br brTom served on the International Economic Development Council, Board of Directors Executive Committee and as President of the Virginia Economic Developers Association. He recently served on the WKU Alumni Association Board of Directors and as President of the Russellville Rotary Club. He is currently serving on committees for the Kentucky Association for Economic Development and Kentuckians for Better Transportation.br brHis successful projects include the establishment of a new business park, a new industrial park, recruiting new employers creating over two thousand new jobs, a Small Business Development Center, a small business incubator, a new Department of Motor Vehicles Customer Service Center, several industrial expansions, a new Farmers' Market, a residential subdivision development, a shopping center development and several adaptive reuse redevelopment projects.br brHe and his wife Judy live in Russellville. They have two grown children and one grandson. A Rotarian since 2008, Tom recently became a Paul Harris Fellow.

I became a member of the Rotary Club of Bardstown in 2005, and served as treasurer in 2006, and club president in 2010. Michael T. Owsley , Assistant Governor Area 6

Michael Owsley is the Assistant Governor for Area 6 which includes clubs in Hardin, Grayson, Breckinridge, Meade, and Larue counties . He has been a Rotarian since 2004, a Paul Harris Fellow since 2008, and served as President of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club in 2011-12. Michael graduated from the prestigious Murray State University in 2000 and Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2004. He established Owsley Family Chiropractic in Elizabethtown in 2006 and has taught Anatomy as adjunct faculty in the biology department of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College since 2000. He married the former Kelly Meredith in 2009 and they live in Hardin County with their children Isabella and Nolan.

Michael Parker, Assistant Governor Area 8

Michael Parker, a Financial Planner who has lived in Elizabethtown for 22 years, moved his practice from Radcliff to Louisville in August of 2011. Prior to his move, he was a Rotarian in Radcliff for 2 years. Michael decided to keep his involvement in Rotary and joined the South Louisville/Okolona Club. Since then he has served as President for his club in 2013-2014 and is now the Assistant District Governor for Area 8. Michael is also a Paul Harris Fellow and has been active in RYLA as a counselor. Michael's background includes a 20 year Army Aviation career, a Bachelor's degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University. Through his career as a Financial Planner, Michael has achieved certifications to include Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®). Michael and his wife Kay of 25 years have two daughters, Sonya and Brenda.

JoAnn Heppermann, Assistant Governor Area 9

Jo Ann Heppermann has been a member of the Prospect/Goshen Rotary Club since 2008, serving as President from 2011-12. She became a Paul Harris Fellow in 2013. In her other life, she is the General Counsel and Director of Marketing for Equine Business Resources, LLC, an equine consulting firm owned by Jo Ann and her husband, Ken, where they own, race and syndicate thoroughbred race horses. Jo Ann is on the professional speaking circuit, talking about the Absolute Power of Hope. She is also the author of “Rose Colored Horses—A Year in the Life of a Crazed Horsewoman,” which was published in April, 2011.

Prior to joining Equine Business Resources in October, 2007, Jo Ann worked in the insurance and financial services sector both as a lawyer and on the business side of the house. Prior to becoming a lawyer, JoAnn taught school and managed law firms. She earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville, and her bachelor's and master's degrees in Education from the University of Missouri. She and Ken have two sons, one daughter-in-law and two delightful grandchildren.

Erin R Ratliff, Assistant Governor Area 10

Erin Ratliff is Assistant Governor for Area 10, which includes clubs in Shelbyville, Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, and Owenton. Erin served as President of the Shelbyville Rotary Club from 2012 until 2014 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. She currently serves as her club's Foundation Chair. Erin earned her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Louisville, and is currently working toward a Master's degree from Bellarmine University. Erin is an attorney in the Shelbyville law firm of Mathis, Riggs, Prather & Ratliff, PSC, where she practices primarily in the area of family law. She lives in Louisville with her husband.
