Michael J. Kull, District Governor

Mike has been a member of the Rotary Club of Louisville since 1982. He was club president in 2005-06; prior to that he was club secretary, club director and committee chair. He and his wife, Kathy, are multiple Paul Harris Fellows. brMike is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.A. and M.B.A. He spent 46 years in the quick service restaurant industry with Burger Queen, Druther's and retired as President of Dairy Queen Corporate Stores. He serves as Chair of the Kentucky Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and is a past President of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, a past director of the National Council of Chain Restaurants and a Director Emeritus of the National Restaurant Association. brA member of Christ Lutheran Church, he presently teaches Sunday school and serves as Finance Committee chair. Mike serves on the board of Cedar Lake Residences which provides community-based residential options and supports for people with intellectual and development disabilities. brMike is the father of three adult sons and enjoys his two grandsons. His wife, Kathy, has an adult son and daughter and two grandchildren. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Clarksville, IN and has served twice as Club President.

Stuart E. Alexander III, District Governor Elect

Stuart Alexander was born in Heidelberg, Germany and was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He obtained his undergraduate degree from St. John's University and his J.D. from the University of Louisville. He is also Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) certified which assists him in his Louisville law practice, focusing on employment and business law. Stuart has served on the boards of Sister Cities of Louisville, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, and the Americana Community Center, which provides services for the US Department of State's refugee resettlement program.

Stuart joined the Rotary Club of Louisville in 1994 and became active on the International Service Committee. He has participated in several international projects including micro-lending in Belize, water/sanitation projects in Uganda, and Ghana, and cervical cancer screening in Haiti. He has also assisted with projects in Kentucky affecting legal refugee and immigrant populations such as micro-lending and home repair for multi-generational refugee families. He served at the district level, organizing a multi-district conference with District 6740 in Eastern Kentucky, and also worked with that district during the 2010 Alltech FEI/World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky. A former recipient of the Rotarian of the Year award, Stuart served as president of the Rotary Club of Louisville during its Centennial year, 2012-13, and is currently the district governor nominee (2016-17).

Stuart is married to Peg Alexander, a Louisville remodeling contractor, and they are proud parents of three adult daughters and one English shepherd named Nellie.
