President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS)
Mid-South PETS, March 23-25, 2017 in Chattanooga, TN (Attendance by all PEs is required.*)
PETS is designed to provide essential and current information to incoming club presidents in order to prepare them to have an effective and successful year. Presidents-elect will have the opportunity to hear addresses by top Rotary leaders and motivational speakers, attend small group discussion sessions and roundtables on various topics lead by knowledgeable and experienced discussion leaders, and network and exchange ideas with presidents-elect from six Rotary districts (KY, TN, AL).
The District Governor-elect meets with his or her incoming presidents approximately a month prior to PETS to share goals, expectations, resources and prepare them for the PETS experience during Pre-PETS.
Assistant Governor Institute (AGI)
AGI is a two-day leadership training program for Assistant Governors from the six participating Rotary districts held in conjunction with PETS. The role of assistant governor is to help the governor with the administration of designated clubs. By performing this critical function, Assistant Governors support club effectiveness, which in turn increases district effectiveness. The purpose of the Assistant Governor Institute is to develop and enhance skills for new and continuing Assistant Governors so that they can fulfill this role. All AG's are expected to attend the AGI as well as all PETS District sessions, so plan to be in Nashville on Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
